Description

'As a resource for someone wanting to coach professionally it is a one-stop shop and leaves nothing on the table, I know that I have used the information from Robbie’s book on my journey and it was great to see the joined up nature in this learning.'David Robinson, Professional Coach

Robbie Steinhouse gives a brief introduction and overview of this training.

The value of coaching for entrepreneurs
Growing a business requires a range of skills and attitudes that can shift dramatically at each phase of the business’s life cycle. The skills needed to start a business and move it to being sustainable are different to upscaling that business from three people to twenty and so forth. Each phase has its unique challenges and potential dangers.

Entrepreneurs can really benefit from coaching during these pivotal times – they often appreciate reinventing themselves when times are relative straightforward; however, coaching can encourage them to make changes when they are actually needed.

Independent 'hard truths'
Business owners often seek out ‘sounding boards’ amongst their staff, personal contacts and professional advisors. Although this can be extremely useful (and free) there is no substitute for having a professional coach who is willing to speak the 'hard truths' when needed. Often entrepreneurs inhabit a deferential world where people with their own agenda are being used to provide this essential listening space. Indeed, these people may even be directly impacted by the entrepreneur’s decisions. A coach provides an ‘agenda-free’ relationship.

Bringing focus to weaker or ignored areas and moving to working 'on the business'
Some entrepreneurs can be great at ‘big picture’ but require focus on ‘smaller details’, while for others it is visa-versa. Again, a coach can help the entrepreneur focus on the area they habitually ignore so they can learn to hone their decision-making skills and robustly consider the potential consequences of their decisions.

Many business owners control all the main functions within their business. They are often stuck in structures that no longer function effectively. Coaching provides a space for them to think radically and reinvent their business to match the current realities they face - to move their thinking from ‘in the business’ to ‘on the business’

This course follows a realistic path of what a group of coaching sessions would actually be like between a coach and client. It shows how to engage an entrepreneur in these types of conversations. It gives a ‘fly on the wall’ experience of the entire coaching journey, from their first session with the client, right through to the end of the coaching contract. After each session, Robbie presents a further video explaining the coaching process and how it can be used in a broader context with different clients. Lastly, a questionnaire to test your knowledge and gain your certification.

The course uses the latest technology from Moodle, the world’s leading e-learning system and provides a state-of-the-art interactive experience, similar to attending a live coach training with the opportunity to interact and practice with other students.

Learn entrepreneurship coaching from an experienced entrepreneur and coach
For coaches, consultants, mentors or those with relevant training, Robbie’s experience, including coaching entrepreneurs (and being coached as an entrepreneur himself), provides a unique combination to help clients shift significant psychological blocks and build a roadmap for success. It also provides all that you require to coach professionally within small businesses. We also provide details of the leading professional accreditation bodies, along with their code of ethics and how to continue your development as a coach.

This course will teach you how to successfully coach business owners and their teams so they can identify essential changes needed within their businesses. It additionally provides a coaching approach to help clients improve their leadership, management and decision making. If you would also like a sophisticated approach to your own business development and success, where you can simultaneously gain a professional certification and gain some powerful business coaching, then this course is for you.

'I’m not naturally drawn to on-line learning but I must say that doing the course was a very enjoyable experience.  The course is very well structured and presented and covers all the basics and more to conduct a purposeful and effective coaching session. It provides a good mix of concept and practice which should tick the learning needs of most people. The videos are of high quality and Robbie’s explanation of the techniques and methodologies help to cement the learning. In addition, the E Learning Manual fully compliments the on-line material and adds to the learning experience as well as providing good references for further reading.' Brendan Collins Executive and Performance Coach Mazaars UK Ltd
